1st March 2011 : Miele Professional Strengthen Their Laundry Line-Up
Bigger Capacities, Slimmer Models and Time & Energy Savings At The Core
Miele Professional continues the advancement of laundry care technology with the launch of several new exciting models to their current laundry range.
Close to the heart of the new models are bigger capacities, slimmer footprints and Miele's commitment to the environment remains at the forefront with innovative technological advancements leading to massive energy savings for all - Miele's new heat-pump dryers deliver up to 60% savings in electricity costs.
Introducing Miele Professional Octoplus: Miele Professional First Compact 10kg Capacity Machine The Miele PW 5105 10kg commercial washing machine makes cleaning larger loads easier than ever and with both 230v and 400v electrical versions available there is no restriction on installation requirements. It's 10kg large capacity drum allows for easy loading of larger items, and the sluice cycle for thermal disinfection ensures optimum cleaning results every time.
Miele Professional washer-extractors reduce water usage to a minimum, leading to considerable savings on both utilities and detergent. The intelligent load control automatically adjusts the hot and cold-water consumption depending on the size of the load during wash and rinse cycles. The additional flow meter for precise water intake reduces energy consumption leading to significant cost savings every load.
The Miele PW 5105 also features Miele's revolutionary HoneycombTM washing drum. Forged from high-grade stainless steel with a unique convex pattern, the drum both significantly enhances cleaning performance and reduces fabric wear.
Introducing Miele Professional SlimLine Dryer: Small Footprint Large 12-15kg Capacity
Fitting through the slimmest of doorways for the smallest of laundries, the Miele PT 8303 professional dryer has a width of only 711mm/28" and requires less than a square metre of floor space. But, despite the reduced footprint size, performance remains high thanks to a drum volume of approx. 300 l.
The Miele SlimLine PT 8303 dryer is able to cope with 12 to 15 kg of laundry per cycle. In a single 8-hour day, one of these new dryers makes light work of around 220 kg of laundry (based on 16 cycles per day, each with a 13.6 kg load and an initial residual moisture level of 50%).
The SlimLine models, which represent an attractive investment, are available as electric or gas-heated versions and offer a choice of 2 easy-to-use controls. The Miele PT 8303 features Profitronic B Plus residual moisture controls, offering 12 programmes for a wide range of textiles and drying levels. The patented, PerfectDry electronic moisture sensing system ensures spot-on drying, saves energy and protects against over drying. The drying temperature can be reduced during a programme cycle by pressing the 'Low temperature' button.
On all SlimLine dryers, the drum is positioned at an ergonomic height. In combination with a door opening angle of 180°, this makes for ease of loading and unloading. These new, space-saving models ideally complement the range of machines used in laundries. All SlimLine machines feature ducts for both exhaust and fresh air inlet enabling the machine to be installed in a sealed room.
"At Miele, we are seriously committed to the environment. Our appliances are designed to last for more than 25 thousand operating hours of continuous use, which is far longer than the average. Ongoing optimisation of production processes at Miele minimises waste, effluents and emissions," said Les Marshall, Commercial Director at Miele.
The operating costs of the new Octoplus product line are considerably lower especially in light of the rising energy prices. The washer- extractor, for example, has energy savings of up to 73% and water savings of up to 56% compared to previous models. The machines have all the technical sophistication needed to ensure economical laundry care.
Miele Professional Heat-Pump Dryers & Octoplus Stackable 8kgs - Coming Summer 2011
Joining the line-up later this year, are Miele's first heat pump dryers, capable of delivering electricity savings of up to 60%. Miele are launching a range of models of their heat-pump dryer, offering drum volumes of 130 I, 250 I and 325 l. The heat-pump technology can reduce electricity consumption by up to 60% when compared with a conventional condenser dryer. There is no requirement for any vent ducting.
Miele's Octoplus stackable solutions will also be available in summer 2011. These space-saving, stylishly designed units offer a full-sized highly efficient washer-dryer stack or dryer-dryer stack in the same space typically reserved for a single washer. A user-friendly microprocessor control panel, angled for easier reading, operates both machines. The single control panel offers one-touch cycle selection and displays operating instructions, as well as remaining cycle time.
